On Saturday, hubs and I went for break fast at Big Brother Restaurant & Grill since we've been reading lots of promising reviews over the net. One comment that stuck in my head was,
"Big Brother is a hidden gem."
So it has to be good, right?
Located at The Strand, Kota Damansara, it was easy to find. I had the Grilled Chicken Chop (RM13.90) and Spaghetti Seafood Marinara for the hubs (RM16.90). I didn't take any photos, we were too famished to even bother. The chicken chop portion was decent, but the taste was very ordinary, really. The seafood marinara had a generous serving of pasta, mussel, prawn and calamari, BUT the dish was super duper oily, you could mistake it for gravy. Despite all the oil, hubs kind of enjoyed his meal, but I can't say the same for myself. I was quite disappointed. And on our way out, we overheard a man complaining to the waiter about his food being too salty.
The next morning, I woke up with a very unhappy tummy. I ran to the toilet for about 5 times, not that I was counting. The best part was the elevator at the condo seemed to stop at every darn floor when I was ready to burst in my pants (okay, too much detail). I'm assuming it was something I had at Big Brother, because I only had the chicken chop for break fast and Maggi for sahur, and I doubt it was the Maggi that gave me the upset tummy.
So, there you go. It is safe to say that I won't be paying them another visit. Not anytime soon, anyway. But please bear in mind, this was only my experience and opinion. I may have a weaker stomach and a different taste bud from others.
